Assist Trophies

Below is a list of all Assist Trophies in Brawl, and what they do..

Andross

Andross' polygon form will enter the background of the stage, inhale, and spit out a bunch of polygon tiles. Try to avoid being hit by them.

Barbara

Barbara the Bat is from the Japan-only game "Daigasso! Band Brothers". She plays her guitar to send soundwaves out, damaging opponents.

Devil

This guy causes havoc for everyone. He will point to a direction, and doing so will cause the screen to shift to the side.

Dr. Wright

Dr. Wright will summon a bunch of skyscrapers to pop out of the ground. Anyone caught above them as they spring up will be sent flying.

ExciteBike

The Excitebikes are all in their original 8-bit forms. A group of them will all drive down a side of the stage, hitting anyone in their path.

Gray Fox

The Gray Fox charges an opponent and will slash them repeatedly. Any projectiles thrown at him will be reflected back at the sender.

Hammer Bro.

The Hammer Bro does exactly what he's been known best for all these years: He throws hammers. They are usually easy to avoid.

Helirin

The Helirin is from the Japan and Europe-only series Kururin series. Once activated, it slowly spins it's long blades in a circle, becoming an obstacle for anyone it comes in contact with.

Isaac

Isaac uses "Push" psyenergy to materialize a large hand that will try to push enemies of the stage.

Jeff

Jeff of the Mother series appears with his bottle rockets. He launches them up in the air and they will home in on nearby opponents. The last rocket is slightly delayed.

Jill Dozer

Jill, from Drill Dozer, goes left and right across the stage and can even jump onto one of the floating platforms that a stage may have. Once hit by her, she will continue to rack up damage as she pushes you along her path, although it's easy to DI out of.

Kat and Ana

Kat (left) and Ana (right) use their ninja skills to fly across the screen at diagonal angles, striking opponents with their blades.

Knuckle Joe

Once activated, Knuckle Joe unleashes a barrage of Vulcan Jabs with some insane reach on an opponent. Once done with that, he will finish with either a Smash Punch (hook), or Rising Break (uppercut).

Lakitu & Spinies

Lakitu appears in 8-bit form, as he originally did in Super Mario Bros. He drops Spinys, who are also in 8-bit form, onto the stage. They will walk around and hurt any player that touches them.

Little Mac

Little Mac will run up to an opponent, gives them a one-two combo, and finishes with a strong uppercut.

Lyn

Lyn will crouch and charge up her attack. Once charged, she charges at an opponent, disappears briefly, and then slashes them.

Metroid

The Metriod will float around and follow an unset path. It can grab onto a character and cause a lot of damage, and is also pretty hard to get off.

Mr. Resetti

Mr. Resetti is here just to annoy and lecture you. Once activated, he just lectures you on and on, using his text bubble to block out about half of the screen, similar to the Nintendog.

Nintendog

Even though the Nintendog is an Assist Trophy, it doesn't exactly assist anyone. When activated, Nintendog will block nearly the entire view of the stage and will continually paw at the screen. The only kind is the Labrador.

Ray

This custom robo flies around the stage, shooting energy blasts at opponents.

Saki Amamiya

Saki Amamiya is from the game Sin & Punishment: Successor to the Earth. Like many other assist trophies, Saki comes into the battle and damages an opponent with a sword. But wait.... the sword also turns into a gun. After slashing with the sword, he flips in the air and fires a blast.

Samurai Goroh

Samurai Goroh performs the ever so common Assist Trophy move of charging an opponent, and slashing them repeatedly.

Shadow the Hedgehog

Shadow the hedgehog uses his infamous Chaos Control attack to slow down time and all enemy combatants.

Stafy

Stafy comes from the Japan-only game "Densetsu no Stafy". His only attack consists of spinning and he is easily knocked away.

Tanks & Infantry

The Tanks and Infantry will go off in both left and right directions when activated. They fire a few shots and do a little bit of damage, but nothing big.

Tingle

Tingle will use his famous "Kooloo Lim-pah" phrase and summon random effects, ranging from summoning hammers and flowers, to unleashing a useless group of balloons into the sky.

Waluigi

Waluigi's first appearance was in Mario Tennis, and he decides to bring his tennis racket along with him. First he charges at an opponent and stomps them into the ground. For a finishing blow he uses his tennis racket, or finishes the opponent off with a mighty kick.
